With an Atlantic Explorer V4 boiler with integrated heat pump, you can enjoy sanitary hot water all year round with better efficiency than a condensing boiler.
The device features numerous innovative functions and is compatible with solar energy (photovoltaic panels or solar collectors) and standalone boilers (built-in spiral heat exchanger).
Good for the environment and your wallet
Explorer heat pump water heaters are highly energy-efficient. The heat pump extracts two-thirds of the required energy from the ambient air to heat the tap water to 60°C. Electricity is only needed to operate the pump. Therefore, the Explorer consumes 60 to 70% less electricity than a conventional water heater. Thanks to the Smart Control feature, the Explorer adapts to the user’s lifestyle and anticipates comfort needs, taking consumption into account.
Connection to PV (solar energy)
Due to the tightening of the German compensation scheme, which makes feeding electricity back into the grid less attractive, the heat pump water heater becomes an extremely attractive system for homes with PV panels. By connecting the PV system to the Explorer heat pump water heater, it becomes possible to store free heat in the boiler tank. In this application, the heat pump water heater is used like a battery, storing the surplus generated energy. Through the sustainable production of hot water by combining the heat pump and PV system, you save not only electricity but also a significant amount of gas.
Adjustable air ducts
The Explorer comes with adjustable air duct openings for intake and exhaust. You can easily adjust the direction of these openings (upward, backward, or sideways).
