With an Atlantic Explorer V4 boiler with an integrated heat pump, you can enjoy domestic hot water throughout the year with better efficiency than a conventional HR boiler.
The unit features numerous innovative functions and is compatible with solar energy (photovoltaic panels or solar collectors) and solo boilers (built-in spiral heat exchanger).
Good for the environment and your wallet
The Explorer heat pump boilers are highly energy-efficient. The heat pump extracts 2/3 of the required energy from the surrounding air to heat the tap water to 60°C. Electricity is only needed to operate the pump. Therefore, the Explorer uses 60 to 70% less electricity than a conventional boiler. Thanks to the Smart Control function, the Explorer adapts to your lifestyle and anticipates your comfort needs while considering energy consumption.
Connection to PV (solar energy)
Due to the tightening of the Dutch net metering scheme, which makes feeding electricity back into the grid less attractive, the heat pump boiler also becomes a very attractive system for homes with PV panels. By connecting your PV system to the Explorer heat pump boiler, you can store free heat in the boiler tank. In this setup, the heat pump boiler is used as a battery, storing excess generated energy. By sustainably generating hot tap water using the combination of heat pump and PV system, you will save not only electricity but also significantly reduce gas consumption.
Adjustable air ducts
The Explorer comes with adjustable air ducts for both the inlet and outlet. You can easily adjust the direction of these ducts (upwards, backwards, or sideways).
