With an Atlantic Explorer V4 boiler with integrated heat pump, it is possible to enjoy hot water year-round with better efficiency than a condensing boiler.
The device comes with many innovative features and is compatible with solar energy (photovoltaic panels or solar collectors) and solo boilers (built-in spiral heat exchanger).
Good for the environment and your wallet
The Explorer heat pump boilers are very energy-efficient. The heat pump extracts 2/3 of the required energy from the surrounding air to heat the tap water to 60°C. Electricity is only needed to operate the pump. Therefore, the Explorer consumes 60 to 70% less electricity than a conventional boiler. Thanks to the Smart Control feature, the Explorer adapts to your lifestyle and anticipates your comfort needs, considering your consumption.
Connection to PV (Solar Energy)
Due to the tightening of the Dutch net-metering scheme, which makes returning power to the energy grid less attractive, the heat pump boiler becomes a very appealing system for homes with PV panels. By connecting your PV system to the Explorer heat pump boiler, you can store excess energy in the boiler tank for free. In this application, you use the heat pump boiler as a battery, in which the surplus energy is stored. Through the sustainable generation of hot tap water using the combination of the heat pump and PV system, you save not only electricity but also gas.
Adjustable Air Channels
The Explorer features adjustable air ducts for intake and exhaust. This makes it easy to adjust the direction of these outlets (upwards, backwards, or sideways).
