The handy communication module NIBE Uplink gives you a quick and effective online overview - via your smartphone, tablet or PC - of the current status of your heat pump and the comfort in your home. NIBE Smart Price Adaption and Smart Grid Ready
Smart Grids - also called 'intelligent grids' - are currently under development. The existing electricity grid is made more flexible through added intelligence, allowing the supply and demand of electrical energy to be better matched. The NIBE heat pumps are equipped as standard with various pre-measurements to anticipate supply and demand. At a local level, you as a user can use self-generated PV power as cost-effectively as possible and, if the energy companies start using variable electricity rates, the heat pump can use this to heat your house and hot water as cheaply as possible. These options offer heat pump users an interesting cost saving.

IFTTT
It is possible to use IFTTT (IF THIS THEN THAT) via NIBE Uplink. For example, certain digital information or events can be linked to actions of the heat pump or associated temperature control, making the NIBE heat pumps fit seamlessly into smart homes.
